#The odds makers have gone ahead and given the Idol crown to Crystal. But I still have some I’ll bets.
- For some reason the odds makers have decided to give only one odd this week; Will
Crystal win Idol? Yes at -174, No at +157. Good thing I got my bets in when I did. It will be hilarious if
Crystal does not win. Honestly I have, and neither have you, ever seen such a hard fast bet who will win so early. It didn’t start this week. The even funnier thing is I guarantee
Crystal doesn’t care if she wins. There was a time I didn’t think she would not only not win but if she did she would not enjoy very much success. I now officially retract at least one of my statements. That would be the one about her not finding success. I still think there is a chance she might not win but she will most certainly find success. I think she will find more success than anyone from last year including
Adam. It’s possible she could join the ranks of
Carrie,
Kelly and
Daughtry because she will be the only one doing what she’s does. Janis died 30 years ago this October.
There is no one like her on the radio now. No one close. In fact I listened to American Top 40 for the first time in a long time this week and was surprised how God awful the music really is. I had previously just suspected it. I confess I quit listening to music on the radio a few years back. I only listen occasionally to hear which Idol’s music is playing.

Adam,
Kris and
Carrie do a lot of time. But the bad thing is their music is just about the only thing I can stand to listen to. There are 3 Idol CD’s out right now that have 10 times better music than 90% of the tripe on the radio right now. They would be
Kat’s “
Unbroken”,
Allison’s “Just Like You” and
Jordin’s “Battlefield”. I would take any one of the songs off those 3 CD’s and put them up against 90% of anything on top 40 now. It’s really a shame those three CD’s are getting no recognition.
“Battlefield” is far, far superior to
Jordin’s first CD and has bare sold 160,000 copies.
Allison’s CD is solid gold on every track.
Kat will have to wait til she becomes a big TV star before people discover how awesome her CD is. She has sold a very small amount and none is getting top 40 play. Here is one of Kat's songs that should be on the radio and a hit right now

Crystal’s confession - miss
Siobhan finally breaks out again with an awesome performance – hit in my book not the judges
Lee does well but still does not get over the hump for me – hit
This week’s I’ll bets:
Aaron in his own genre does not really shine
Lee does average to poorly and still gets a judge tongue bath
Siobhan does great again but the judges, minus Ellen, just don’t see it
Crystal has her moment this week in an unexpected genre.
Mike Does better than last week and still goes home.
The week actually ends up being one of, if not the best of the season
Casey sounds like a copycat with his song and gets called on it.
Bottom three is
Casey,
Mike and
Aaron. This would extend the record already set this season of the longest three Idols never see the bottom 3.
Just a side note: What if the stars aligned just right, or wrong for his fans, and for what ever reason
Lee actually went home. How would that save look now. This would be the last week to use it. Just a thought.
This week Vote for the worst picked my girl
Siobhan as their pick. The good news for them; they won’t need to pick another all season long. The good news for us fans; the previous statement. I don’t know if they have any influence or not but their last pick
Tim hung around a record amount of time for a VFTW pick. They admittedly say it’s for other reasons than her talent. There are only 5 weeks til we have a new idol. Every vote is appreciated. Not that she really needs their help. Like
Crystal she has her own thing going on. Will 19e sign her even if she doesn’t win or come in 2
nd? I don’t know but in a WB show she was in a couple years ago when she was in high school (here is the clip)
Against all oz she makes the statement that maybe one day she will be famous. Welcome to famous
Siobhan. And welcome to everything you deserve. We got everyone’s back-story but
Siobhan’s this year and when I watch this it makes me love her even more. It makes you wonder if
Siobhan caught them off guard but Simon did call her a dark horse the same sentiment he had for last year’s
Allison. They had to know she was good.
Siobhan may not win. Yes I say may not because I think she still can. This week will be very pivotal. The song library they pick from is sketchy at best. Should someone actually come out and just kill this week it would surely push them to the top 3. Making the top 5 is a big deal. Everyone will be hoping amongst hopes they make it at least past this week. Some of the genres we have yet to see we usually have are, current hits on the radio (Talk about a limited song choice) Standards, Rock, Movie themes, Birth year, 70’s, 80’s, and Motown. It’s possible since it is rumored that Christina will be on the finale they may have a Christina night. Standards have been on the show every year except for season 2, 4, and 7. Every time this night is a great one so I don’t see them leaving it out this season.
Siobhan and
Crystal can kill this night.
Mike will do well too…..if he’s around.
Lee will look lost as will
Casey but they will all do well because the music is great. Even
Aaron could put up a good night.
