 What do I think will happen or change come Tuesday? Read on and see.
Starting today I will have a Monday morning bets article every......you guessed it, Monday. This will be my bets on how things will change. It will also cover how things have already have changed. Do ya foller me?
Last week we all got a taste of what one great performance in Hollywood can do to set you on your way to the top 12. Who's to say even more people had moments in Hollywood but the producers just let us see who thay wanted us to see. They wouldn't do that would they? Well the fact is, the five they pushed in Hollywood Didi, Lilly, Katie, Crystal, and Andrew are ridin' the wave right now. It seems like they want to find an Indie talent this year. Is it possible for another Kris to foil those plans? I doubt it but one Casey James could .......maybe. Katie most certainly won't and can't.
If we are to judge in a couple ways we can see that these four and one minor wrench in the cog, Siobhan, are early favorites that won't be going away anytime soon. Looking at the reviews and pages of reviews on each artists iTunes page we can see who's gettin the ink. Andrew is in every way possible leading the pack and it's not even close. Didi is leading the pack amongst the girls albeit a bit closer. Andrew does have another distinct advantage; he is all over YouTube. It will difficult for him to lose his favored nation status. He will have to majorly suck a couple times out to lose. This is, as of right now, his competition to lose. But we also know that those who start so high have further to fall.
My bets for this week:
I'll bet Andrew sings a Maroon 5 song and kills it.
I'll bet Lacey will take Kara's advice and sing "Kiss Me". At least I hope she does.
I'll bet if Lacey sings like she did last week she won't be spared this time. She may not anyway. I love her personally.
I'll bet every singer who came out with guitar in hand will not change those plans.
I'll bet Siobhan picks a song she can blow the roof off with. I kinda hope she doesn't. She was brilliant last week. The judges, all but Ellen, had a bug up their ass. I kind of have a theory about Siobhan. I think the judges may be setting us up bit with their comments. I also think Ellen missed the memo or is supposed to be the cushion. They waited until the last week to show that clip of "Living in the City". I guess that was a little note for our memory.
I'll bet Alex stays and Tim goes.
I'll bet we don't see as many suckified performances and not because we will see four less.
I'll bet Casey solidfies his place in the top 12 with some guitar playing to go along with his singing and I don't mean just strumming.
I'll bet Paige actually impresses this week but won't stay.
I'll bet Haleley doesn't impress again and goes.
I'll bet Todrick and Jermaine are better this week but worse songs.
I'll bet John Park pushes himself into the top 12 with this week's outing.
I'll bet Katelyn can't duplicate her fine performance of last week.
I'll bet Katie will expose her limitations.
I'll bet there will no surprise elimination this week. This will be the week for everyone to gather some points in those pools.
I'll bet Crystal will be Crystal. This can work for her or eventually work against her.
I'll bet Lee will even be better this week.
I'll bet Michelle will sing well enough to get all positive comments by the judges but I don't think she'll out sing enough folks to hang around.
I'll bet the bopper head count goes on for Aaron.
Now the odds. I will have in my last block everyone who gains points every week without interruption. Meaning the first time they lose points they will be off the list. It could be a trend of who America is warming up to or cooling off from. First the losers, then the gainers and there were some huge swings on both fronts. But that is to be expected considering this was the first competitive singing. The swings will not be nearly as big from her on our except for maybe John Park and you will see what I mean should he stay with us. LW=last week, TW= this week, CH= change. We had and equal amount of winners and losers this week. Well that are still here. We did have four real losers.

Katie +558 +506 -52 Really I think she is lucky to even gain. It was not that great. She needs to kill this week. No mistakes or I'm sure she won't be in this group next week.
Crystal +743 +614 -129 She is exactly consistant. I'm not sure she can move down anymore before the top 12 which is hers.
Alex +3951 +3723 -228 Go figure. He gains with a horrible performance. It could have been my first F of the season but for his tone. He could be our milqutoast Sanjaya. Boppers love him.

Katelyn +6543 +2556 -3987 Unexpected good job moves this number so far. See if she keeps it up this week. I'm doubting it.
Biggest gainer:

Consecutive winners: This will eventually whittle down to no contestants. We've already gone from 7 to 4. But the one who gains the most weeks in a row could also gain enough fans to win.
Siobhan +1181 +911 -270 Her song choice will determine if this number continues to go down. Her performance will be spotless........I'll bet.
Casey +855 +436 -419 If he doesn't stumble in the semis, he's touring.
Michelle +4779 +1950 -2829 She will have to kill to keep this up this week.
Lilly +4779 +1669 -3110 Lilly is the really big winner this week. She did her thing and the money is going her way. She needs to just keep it up and shake the nerves.
There you have it. Really, the numbers we have now are the real starting point. Got anymore ideas about how well or poor they will do? Let me know.
