 Let's see how I saw last week's fray.
Best performance of the week: For the girls, it's Katie. For the guys, it's Casey. I liked both of their songs.
Worst performance: For the girls, it's Lacey. For the guys, it's Alex. Lacey's was just plain awful and Alex's was uncomfortable.
Best dressed: Ashley. She really looked beautiful out there, even if her singing wasn't great.
Most disappointing performance: For the girls, it's Lacey. For the guys, it's Tim. Both of them should've done better.
Most surprising performance: For the girls, it's Lilly. For the guys, it's Aaron. Both did better than I expected.
Who made it to the next round and shouldn't have: Lacey, Alex and Tim. They were worse than those who stayed around.
Who didn't make it to the next round and should have: Ashley, Joe and Tyler, although none of them were outstanding or memorable.
Best song choice: For the girls, it's Lilly. For the guys, it's Casey. They both chose wisely.
Worst song choice: For the girls, it's Janell. For the guys, it's Tim. Both should've chosen much better.
Top 3 vocals: For the girls, it's Michelle, Katie and Lilly. For the guys, it's Aaron, Michael and Casey.
Who should we look out for: For the girls, it's Lilly. For the guys, it's Casey.
My favorite contestant right now: Right now it's Katie.
Who do I think will win: Maybe Casey. I don't know.
Final Thoughts: Wow, was I surprised that so many singers either made bad song choices or arranged the songs badly or let their nerves get the best of them! I almost can't believe these were the Top 24! The singers really need to pick up the pace next week or we'll all be wondering if American Idol finally jumped the shark! With Ashley gone, Katie is probably my favorite although that can change. And I have no idea who will win either!
