 This is the first time I missed all four bootees. We have some damn lucky guys and one lucky girl.
Who woulda thunk it? I will say I was floored by tonight's results although it won't matter in the long run. Not one of them would be around long. I really thought Ashley would at least be in it for three rounds. I fugured Janell for at least 2. Joe didn't have much of a chance. Tyler shot himself in the foot.
First to go was Janell. I never picked her even from the beginning to make the top 12. Her voice just isn't distinct enoughand her looks while gorgeous aren't either. She did sound much better tonight with her swan song.
Second girl to split the scene was Ashley. She was not very good last night but I thought she had enough of a fan base to stay a little longer. She never could get away from the Alicia Keyes thing and that is what did her in. Lesson to all who remain. Be yourself and forget about Whitney, Blige, et all.
First guy to bite the dust was Joe Munoz. I put his last name because we didn't really get to know him. He was actually good last night, relatively speaking. No screen time no bust out performance = homeward bound.
Last guy to go will make JLynn happy. Tyler was another that really never had a chance. When you sing a classic rock song like "American Woman" you'd better sing it. He didn't. I was still a bit surprised at his departure.
More surprising were this week's survivors. How did Lacey, Alex, Paige, and Tim escape the trip home? Well I know one thing, ant screw ups next week and they might as well walk off the stage right on to the bus. I will say I like Lacey a lot. She has the potential to sing well. I hope we hear that next week. She certainly has a great look.
Tim and Alex are likely the luckiest guys ever. They should have had their dufflebags on their shouders while sitting waiting for the results. They both new it. I really can't imagine either surviving next week no matter how well they do. So I'm predicting right now they will be the guys going home.
Well all my top 8 survived and I'm guessing with ease. And did you notice them not playing with Crystal? She looked like she could care less. Like I said I don't think she does and that just might play to her advantage because nerves will never be a factor. Look for the ones who look like they are about to piss themselves and those are the ones this means everything to.
What to look for next week:
Look for Siobhan to bring out the big voic just to shut Randy up.
Look for Didi to bring out the guitar.
Look for Andrew to hit us up with some Maroon 5
Look for Crystal to care even less.
Look for Jermaine and Todrick to tone it down. Tehy will still have at least one more week casue we know who's going home next week already.
Look for Lilly to get a bit more mainstream. But not too much.
Look for Lee, John, and Casey to do better. Lee and Casey will be much better.
Look for Aaron, Katelyn, and Big Mike to take a step backwards.
Look for Michelle to take a big step forward.
Paige and Haleley......well I just don't know but I'll bet Haleley brings out the Country next week.
Look for me to be wrong once again.
