This is the last city of auditions and I’m ready for Hollywood. How ‘bout you?

Even though this is our last city, tomorrow we get a dose of some of the best we didn’t get to see in their audition cities. I hope we get some standouts ‘cause I really can’t recall anyone that blew me away. In fact I can’t recall anyone. No Katharines, Carries, or even Danny Gokeys. Maybe that’s what tomorrow will be all about. Let’s check out tonight’s finds.

Mark Labriola- 28
More interesting looking and interesting back-story than actual singer. I don’t suspect he will get through Hollywood. He’s got a cute little kid though. Kind of like a mini-him.

Kimberly Kerbow- 24
The voice sounded OK. Didn’t really hear enough to get me excited about her prospects. I will say she is one beautiful girl. But in this competition that can be a minus. How cute was her little girl?

Danielle Hayes- 24
Good rocker singer. Vocally reminded me of Amanda Overmyer. Visually, not so much. I think she may have more control than Amanda did. But as far as Idol rocker chicks go, she is not in the league of the Iraheta. So I don’t suspect she gets through Hollywood.

Casey James-27
Great back-story. Great name but I think that’s a porn star’s name. Not that I’ve ever seen such stuff. Great look for someone who should be dead. You know what I mean. I really liked his voice and think he will do well in Hollywood. Could see him in the top 24 for sure. But like so many others this season I will forget him tomorrow.

Tori Kelly-16
This girl is very good but should have waited at least 3 years before trying out. Here is Tori Kelly at 11. She has the goods but is just too young. Tori will make it with or without Idol. I think if she doesn’t make it this year it will be because the judges feel the same way as me. I hope we get to see some of her in Hollywood.

Nicci Nix-22
If ever a girl sounded like she had been breathing Helium, this is the girl. It’s odd how her singing voice is so different. We had someone like this before but I can’t recall who it was. Very cute. But it says she is from Florence, Italy. Last time I checked that was not in the US. Hmmmmm…..

Haley Vaughn-16
Now I wish Haley was older. I loved everything about her. Her demeanor and speaking voice and her unusual choice of genre….Pop/Country. Her version of Carrie’s “Last Name” was just OK for me but I could see the potential. I don’t know if she has the maturity either to make it to the top 12. But how cool is it to have a black female Pop/Country singer? I don’t think that there has ever been one. There have been some black male Country singers but no female. I hope she at least gets to sing for us in competition. I’m rooting for her.

Well again no one blew me away. It might be one of those seasons where I don’t even get a favorite til the top 12 like last year. My favorite part of the show tonight?
