Allison signed, as predicted by many but mostly me, with 19E. There are ramblings that Danny will be next. This will be a first should it happen. So far the most signed by 19E is 4 and that was season 5; Taylor, Kat, Chris, and Kellie. And while more got deals only these four were signed by 19 E. Chris and Kellie are still living the high life with 19E while Taylor and Kat have gone a different route. I don’t know what route Taylor’s taken but Kat has David Foster behind her and that can mean nothing but great things. But I digress.

Allison was signed this week. It’s my belief they wanted to sign her sooner but there is an order these Idol things need be done. And thinking back I don’t think Chris got signed so quickly. I also don’t think Idol wanted their winner and runner up to get pushed off the front page with her signing. Although I think in the long run that will happen on its own. I got a few emails from people letting me know in no uncertain terms that they think Allison will have no career in music. One even said they thought she would sell less CDs than Kristy Lee (32,000). (Loved that CD by the way and I don’t even like Country that much.) Well anyone who wants to take on that bet with me go ahead and you name the stakes. In fact Allison may sell that many before the street date.

One thing we can bet will happen and will be fun to watch are the 4^th place Allison comparisons to 4^th place Chris. If I remember correctly Chris’s 1^st week sales were really strong. But Chris was not in the land of iTunes that Allison will be. It will be very difficult for Allison to sell the almost 300,000 CDs Chris did his 1^st week. The iTunes sales should be much higher for Allison. I bought the iTunes Kris pass and hope I can buy the Allison one too. But it isn’t there and I don’t know if it will ever be. There isn’t an Adam one either. It doesn’t really matter because this fall we will get the real thing and I can’t ever remember anticipating any Idol CD more. The reason I can’t remember? It’s never happened. I just hope she gets good music. I’ll be in line……. how about you? Take the poll at the right and let me know.
