With the elimination of Alaina, Jason, Alexandrea, and Robbie the odds shift around considerably.

In Idol history there has never been a clearer picture of whose competition it is to lose this early on. David Archuleta has a massive lead over the field. In fact, this is the first time I can ever remember that the odds makers have a bet that pits one person against the rest of the field before. I will continue to post this each week. It is hard to imagine, no pun intended, anyone else but David winning this year in a year that so absolutely loaded with talent. But strange things can happen over the course of a season. And who’s to say it won’t.

Even on the girl’s side, which had a slight misstep this week, there are 4 or 5 that have a chance. Ramiele is the sentimental favorite right now but Carly is the favorite to finish the highest amongst the girls. This though is not set in stone at all. Brooke White had the biggest surge moving all the way up to 5^th from 14^th. Speaking of Brooke, has there ever been a whiter girl in the top 12? Just a thought.

One of my favorites, Kady Malloy took a mighty tumble from 5^th to 13^th. Aliana went from 9^th to gone. Robbie pulled almost the same feat going from 11^th to gone.

Let’s look at the odds. I’m switching to fractionals.

The odds makers don’t have a lot of faith in Luke do they. My Kady is on the outside looking in as well. One of the reasons I think Kady will make the top 12, this is assuming she finally hits a home run or even just does well, is that Ryan let America know she was part of the bottom 3. This will invigorate her fans and she has many. The question is, who will she replace? I don’t know but one of my other faves, Kristy Lee, could be in her sights. There is no way in hell Amanda Overmyer should still be singing this week. Either Alaina or Alex should be. Even in the group song Amanda was awfuler that awful. I didn’t think she was going to make it through her one line.

If we truly get a top 4 of David, Michael, Carly, and Ramiele it should be a great final 4. I’m going to say now that I think Kristy Lee will end up being 5^th. Let’s check back at the end of the season and see how close I am.
